The Westarea Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for part-time firefighters to support operations across our three stations. Applicants must hold, at minimum, a North Carolina State Firefighter certification; State Driver-Operator and State EMT credentials are strongly encouraged. Pay rates are based on level of certification and qualifications. Overtime opportunities and holiday pay for select holidays are also available. Part-time personnel work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), seven days a week, providing consistent coverage for our district. Our department operates in a busy response area and regularly provides and receives mutual aid with the Fayetteville Fire Department and Harnett County Emergency Services, offering valuable experience in a collaborative, multi-agency environment.
